Franci adopts a Sakura “Cherry Blossom” Tree!

A cherry blossom is a flower of many trees of genus “Prunus”.

The most well-known species is the Japanese cherry, commonly called Sakura

The Cherry Blossom is considered a national flower of Japan.

These amazingly beautiful trees are found all over Asia, and in many other parts of the world.

Some varieties of cherry blossom trees produce cherries that can be eaten, but not all.

There are many stories about the Sakura tree, especially in Japanese history.
